Pep Guardiola Hints at Man City Exit if Losing Streak Persists

Pep Guardiola has stated that he will leave Manchester City when he believes he is no longer benefiting the club. This comes after City suffered five losses in their last six matches, marking the longest losing streak in Guardiola’s career. Additionally, they squandered a three-goal lead to draw with Feyenoord on Tuesday.

Despite recently signing a new contract, Guardiola acknowledged that managers at top clubs like City face significant pressure if they stop winning. He emphasized that they could not constantly complain about injuries, such as Rodri’s absence.

Guardiola stressed the importance of taking responsibility and not blaming others. He said that if the team doesn’t win, the manager is in trouble. He accepted that it is unusual for a big club to experience such poor results but insisted that he wants the chance to rebuild the team and improve their performance for the rest of the season and beyond.

He expressed his determination to prove himself once again and turn the season around. He acknowledged that it’s easy to succeed when everything is going well, but the real test is finding solutions during difficult times. He is committed to trying every day to find a way to improve the team’s performance.

With a crucial match against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, Guardiola admitted that it’s not realistic for City to think about winning the Premier League title at the moment. Instead, he emphasized the need to focus on one game at a time and build momentum from there. If they lose, they will be 11 points behind Liverpool, making it imperative to concentrate on immediate goals rather than long-term aspirations.
