Conor Fogarty, a four-time All-Ireland winner, has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling following a distinguished 14-year career with Kilkenny.
Fogarty, who joined the Kilkenny senior team in 2011 at the age of 20, became an integral part of the squad over the years.
At 34, he has earned nine Leinster titles, five league medals, and four All-Ireland titles during his career.
Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng expressed gratitude for Fogarty’s contributions to the team, praising his work ethic, discipline, and pivotal role in the team’s success. Lyng noted that Fogarty’s presence will be greatly missed and wished him well in his retirement.
Kilkenny county board chairman also acknowledged Fogarty’s significant impact, thanking him for his dedication and leadership. Renowned for his skill, determination, and commitment, Fogarty not only represented Kilkenny but also his club, Erin’s Own, with pride.
