Two Teenagers Arrested Over Suspected Assault in Mullingar

Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with an assault investigation in Mullingar that left a man in critical condition. The incident took place early on Saturday morning, December 14, on Grove Street. At around 1 am, a man in his 30s was discovered with severe injuries and was immediately taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he remains in critical condition.

The Gardaí are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone who may have witnessed the event or possesses relevant footage—such as from dash-cams—to come forward. Specifically, they are requesting any video captured between 12:30 am and 1:30 am in the area surrounding Grove Street and Mullingar Town Centre.
