Limerick village buzzing as local shop sells €2.6m Lotto ticket

The quaint village of Pallaskenry, nestled along County Limerick’s Shannon estuary, is buzzing with excitement as residents speculate about the identity of a newfound millionaire among them. The recent Lotto draw on 1 March saw a local player clinch a life-altering €2.6 million jackpot.

The winning ‘Quick Pick’ ticket was purchased on 26 February at the village’s Gala store. The fortunate numbers drawn were 2, 6, 7, 10, 28, 32, with the bonus number 19. Store owner Chen Xiyuan, who has been at the helm of the Gala shop for over four years, expressed his elation upon learning that his establishment sold the winning ticket.
