Brentford has had a strong start to the season, currently positioned 11th in the Premier League. They are just two points shy of the top six, putting them within reach of a European qualification spot and a solid eight points above the relegation zone. Led by Bryan Mbeumo, the team has been consistent, suffering only one defeat in their last four games, including two wins and one draw. After a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth, Brentford played to a 0-0 draw against Everton in their most recent match.
Leicester, who were promoted last season, have found the Premier League to be a tough challenge. Despite this, they have managed to maintain their top-flight status for another season. Currently in 16th place, just one point above the relegation zone, Leicester enjoyed a brief spell of positive results in October with wins over Bournemouth and Southampton. However, they have struggled recently, failing to win any of their last four matches, with three losses and one draw. Their recent results include a 1-1 draw with Ipswich and defeats to Nottingham Forest (1-3), Manchester United (3-0), and Chelsea (1-2).
For Brentford, defender Ajer and long-term absentees Hickey, Henry, and Dasilva will miss the game. Captain Norgaard is also suspended, and while attacking midfielder Gustavo Nunes is close to returning, his participation is uncertain. Summer signing Igor Thiago made his debut last weekend after recovering from injury, adding depth to the attacking options alongside Damsgaard, Wissa, and Mbeumo.
Leicester, on the other hand, will be without their backup goalkeeper Stolarczyk, reserve full-back Ricardo Pereira, and possibly winger Fatawu, who is still recovering from injury.
