Gardaí Arrest Two After Body Found in Gorey, Co Wexford

This morning, gardaí made two arrests related to the death of a man in Gorey, Co Wexford in July. The suspects, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s, are currently detained at Garda stations in the Co Wexford area.

The man’s body, who was in his 40s, was found shortly before noon on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at a residence in the Clonattin area of Wexford.

A Senior Investigation Officer is leading the ongoing investigation. Gardaí are examining all aspects surrounding the discovery of the body.

Stake

A Garda spokesperson stated that the man and woman were arrested for alleged offences under Section 7(2) of the Criminal Law Act, 1997. The investigation continues.
