Poll shows Sinn Féin rising as Fine Gael support dips

The latest Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks opinion poll indicates a rise in support for Sinn Féin, while Fine Gael has seen a decline. Fianna Fáil remains the most favored party in the country, holding steady at 24%. Sinn Féin has gained three percentage points since the previous poll, bringing its support to 22%, securing its position in second place.

Fine Gael has dropped to third, seeing a two-point decline to 20%. Meanwhile, the Social Democrats have experienced a slight increase, rising by one point to 8%.

 

Both Aontú and Independent Ireland have each seen a one-point decrease, bringing them down to 4%. The Labour Party remains unchanged at 4%, while the Green Party has gained a point, now sitting at 3%.

People Before Profit has maintained its support level at 2%, with Independents and other parties collectively holding 9%. The survey, conducted online on January 31 and February 1, included responses from 1,591 voters. The poll carries a margin of error of ±2.5%.
